You will find the 'Teath Timepiece' in the cottage - the monthly village publication containing all current news and activities.

Cornwall truly is beautiful, and a fabulous destination at any time of the year. Whether you are coming for the epic coastline and fabulous beaches, to explore historic fishing ports, or simply to over-indulge on cream teas and local ales, there are plenty of options well within reach of Sunnyside. Here are some of our favourite suggestions, all within a 20-25 minute drive...

Pack a picnic and a kite for a day on the beach at Daymer Bay or Trebarwith Strand; Try your hand at surfing with a lesson at Polzeath or Newquay, or make your way to Rock for waterskiing/wakeboarding, or to hire a paddle board for the afternoon; Hire bikes and cycle the popular Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Padstow and sample Rick Steins fish & chips on arrival; Visit beautiful Port Isaac and check out the filming location for ITV series Doc Martin; Head to Bodmin Moor to search for the elusive 'Beast of Bodmin' and experience rural wilderness; Walk a section of the coastal path; Jump on the ferry at Rock and head over to Padstow for an ice cream and a spot of crabbing from the harbour wall; Visit Tintagel to check out the ancient castle and the supposed links to King Arthur, along with the Old Post Office, a remarkable National Trust site; National Trust members would also do well to check out Lanhydrock, Cotehele, Boscastle & Port Quinn. Spend a morning 'rockpooling' at Lundy Bay during low tide, then stop at Trevathan Strawberry Farm for a warm & delicious Cream Tea before ending up in the White Hart Inn for pub tea and a drop of Cornish Ale!

Slightly further afield, Bude (30 min) is consistently voted one of the best sea-side towns in the UK, and the Eden Project (45 min) is another popular attraction for families. Polperro, Mevagissy, and Falmouth are some more of our favourite destinations.

Regardless of what you want from your holiday, there is something for everyone in Cornwall, and Sunnyside is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of exploration!
